In 2006 the Gallery Farm Junior Team attended the Quail Run Cross Country Schooling and Schooling Horse Trials in Argyle, Texas on Nov. 4-5th. Three of the team members participated including Courtney Crites, Marianne Pickens and Elizabeth Vernon. Victoria Dammen had entered but due to an injury one week prior to the show, she had to withdraw. Being able to school the cross country course the day before the competition was certainly a plus. During the competition, Elizabeth was 1st after the dressage portion. At the end of the day, Marianne and Courtney were 2nd and 3rd in their divisions respectivefully. What a super learning experience. A fun time was had by all and even the rain held off until the girls were done competing.

In June, the Gallery Farm Jr. Team arranged a jumping clinic with Meighan Ferguson Nichols. Even though it was a very sweltering day, the team members enjoyed the instruction and took home several new skills to refine.

The Junior Team spent the previous year raising funds to attend this event. They made items that were sold at horse and craft shows along with individual sales. They ran the concession stand at the four Gallery Farm horse shows. Each participant earned $200 to pay for the Quail Run show expenses plus paying for all the expenses for the 7 members that participated in the Meighan Ferguson clinic in June.
